Ken Byron Ventures Fireside Chat
(3.67)
Notes: Ken became curious about the lost “gold and tan” style American/Danish blends that fell out of favor for blackened leaf aromatics. Matured bright Virginia with smooth tan burley and a classic style fragrance.

My sample was a bit aged (not sure how old ) bag note was mostly Vanilla and coco. My sample was a fine ribbon cut with a few stems and a bit on the dry side. (I think the toppings that were once prominent have become very lite. The tobacco starts out a bit harsh but smooths out quickly ( fresh I am sure it is more moist ). The smoke is very nutty from the burley with lots of lite coco flavor and sweetness from the Virginia (quite pleasant) no chemical taste. Once you get it going its a nice smooth smoke. Easley an all day smoke. Nic hit is mild to medium. Wont cause any bite even if puffed hard. Becomes more full flavored at the halfway point. Burns quickly but not too hot . I will be buying a second tin to compare. 3.5 stars but could easily be 4 my sample was a bit old for an aromatic.
