This blend has all the excitement of Wonder Bread, or Maxwell House coffee made in a percolator. It starts out bland, and maybe turns a little sour by the bottom of the bowl, bringing with it a bit of a bite to the tongue. The one thing it is lacking is some kind of tobacco-like flavor. I suppose one could smoke this for the nicotine, but if you really want an old fashioned "drug-store" blend, stick to Walnut, Prince Albert, or Barking Dog.

This stuff is just plain nasty. I wouldn't even smoke this in one of those Dr. Grabow filter pipes they sell for 10 or 15 dollars....The only person I can think of who would like this crap is a stingy old man suffering from senile dementia. Enough said.

I found this to be one of the most unremarkable, boring tobaccos that I have ever smoked. This is just a plain, old-fashioned, burley smoke. It has a mild pouch and room aroma. It tastes like a plain old burley but it burned a little hot for me and by the end of the bowl it was a tad bitter and burned my tongue a bit. If all you want is an inexpensive, burley smoke with little flavor and no casing, then this is for you. I'll stick to Prince Albert though.

A brand that I tried several times as a teenager. Now, however, it just doesn't offer anything.

First light produces a straight burley with a slight nutty taste. A little bitter as one approaches mid bowl. Flat, grab and forgetable at/near bottom.

Could be a working/fishing smoke but I have another tobacco for this purpose.

It's not that SW is bad, it's just does not have any quailty that would motivate you to smoke it again ... unless you were out of everything. It's a very dull, mild blend ... enough said.

I bought this tobaccco one year while stranded in the mountains without tobacco , along with some other drug store blends . My memory of it is that it is totally unremarkable . Light , bland and flavorless .
