Sutliff Tobacco Company Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend

(2.84)
A pleasing aromatic with a nutty sweet burley, gold cavendish, and flavored black cavendish taste. These tobaccos are combined with fruity plum and wine notes, along with a slight flavor push from a hint of Latakia for added sweetness and body. A harmonious blend that burns cool and slowly for full enjoyment.
Notes: Created in 1946, the blending was done under the personal supervision of Edward G. Robinson himself.

Lots of large thick ribbons and some smaller ones make this a rough cut to my eyes. Tin aromas of liquor, Burley and some Latakia. This tin arrived as dry as a desert. It is easy to pack and takes the flame easily. A slow cadence is required to keep the flavours sharp. The burley is of decent quality and gives some good nutty flavours. The Latakia and the liquor work well to enhance the natural burley flavours but never take over the show. Overall this is a very good but basic smoke. Can be smoked all day but is better reserved for occasional enjoyment in my opinion.

I cannot possibly add anything to those rich description of this blend except for one thing - although I find the taste rich and enticing, the smoking experience is one of harshness. But this might have been due to the dryness of the sample I have used.
