The tart and tangy, dark fruity, earthy red Virginia is complimented by the grassy, citrusy bright Virginia, and only takes a slight lead between the two. The woody, earthy, lightly nutty and toasty, spicy dark burley is a supporting player. The spicy, raisin and plummy perique underscores every puff. The unsweetened black cavendish offers a little brown sugar. The vanilla and caramel play at the same level with the cocoa close behind them, and all these toppings tone down the tobaccos to a mild to moderate extent. The strength is a step closer to mild than it is to medium. The taste level is step closer to medium than it is to mild, though there is a light gentleness to it amidst a little punch from the burley. The nic-hit is mild. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a very consistent, sweet and lightly savory, spicy flavor that translates to the after taste. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke.

I was given an ounce of this by a friend. It arrived in a ziplock baggie, so some of the topping may have flashed off. Hydration was good, and the tobacco is a mix of lighter browns and yellows. The cut is mostly a medium chopped ribbon. The pouch note is a sweet with a touch of cocoa.
Smoked, this tobacco has a distinctive slightly acrid taste on first light. It is not unpleasant but it is unusual. The only other thing I have smoked that gives me this is a blend with some added deer tongue. The taste is sweet with Virginia hay and burley body, and there is a nose tickle on the snork. There is a subtle spice I attribute to the perique. There are a few cocoa notes in there from time to time. I do not get any vanilla in the flavor, and maybe that sweet is the caramel. The topping in my sample is mild at any rate.
This was very enjoyable, and I am glad I tried this. It is only available in tin, and I would probably buy this if bulk were an option.

Caramel flavor is apparent right from the first light, with vanilla close behind. The chocolate is there at times as well but not quite as strong as the other flavors. The flavors do bring a warm, dessert being baked fragrance. Don't think I've had a blend with caramel topping before, so this was a welcome change. Solid aromatic. Great for after dinner while sitting by the fire (or woodstove).
