Cornell & Diehl Stovepipe

(2.71)
A trail of bright and red Virginias winds its way upwards, ascending to a summit of perique, dark burley leaf, and black cavendish. Lightly topped with flavors of cocoa, caramel, and vanilla, it makes for a sublime, exhilarating smoke.

Not particularly awful, but not all that great either. I would rather have spent my money on another tobacco. I will let it age awhile longer and hope for some improvement.

The notes caramel and vanilla stand in the forefront, though I find them at best medium and closer to a mild-medium. A note of raisin is found as the smoke continues. Nice aroma as one would hope. I've found tongue bite to be more of an issue with this blend than other aromatics I've smoked. It's not a bad blend by no means but there is nothing special about it either.

This is a mellow smoke, like most aromatics it takes a minute to get to the sweet spot, and then once it reaches it, it smells better than it tastes.
