Tin note is mostly of dark fruit. Came very dry, had to rehydrate it (the tin is 5 years old). Presents itself in very short cuts, jet-black tobacco
Taste & Flavor: It starts with a bit of sweet molasses like taste and creamy smoke. I’d say it has a vanilla taste with some nuts (hazelnuts & almonds) and cocoa beans. But as you progress, the nuts/hazelnuts taste becomes more prominent. Also has a bit of a woody taste and a biiit of spice, which makes me think of dark fired kentucky, but I don’t know what tobaccos was used.
This is clearly an unflavored black Cavendish, which i guess is made from burley.
It’s not the soapy sweet flavor that I thought it is and that I detected in blends that use black cavendish. That gave me hiccups.
Burns cool but needs relights.
It’s good, but smoked straight might be a bit dull. For the moment, only 2 stars, for being smoked straight. After I’ll use it in blending I’ll come back to this review.
