Planta Cellini Forte

Full flavored aromatic strength in taste- yet mellow and soft as velvet in smoke and on the tongue. Refined with the berrylike barolo wine from Italy.

Commenting previous reviews: i have in mind that in many good fully aromatized tobaccos, full aromatics, the flavours are more strong than the tobacco taste, in the pouch, in the tobacco itself.

This is a good and normal caractheristic of good aromatics, desired by smokers that really like aromatic and sweet tobaccos.

It is not Bite, neither causes Tongue problems, as some other aromatics. Excelent. Recommended.

When you open the pouch then the smell of the flavouring is almost too strong. It clearly smells like wine, which is good, because that is what they advertised. And yes, it specifically smells like Barolo.

Packing and lighting are no hassle. Burn is nice and even although slightly hot.

The taste is very full with a thick smoke to accompany it. It pretty much tastes like the pouch smells, like wine. There will be no tobacco flavours involved here. Also it clearly is one of the blends you have to air out plenty before smoking to get rid of the artificial / chemical notes in it. But then the experience is sweet, and satisfying *if* you like heavy aromatics.

So, do i recommend this blend? Sort of. If you do enjoy really heavy aromatics than this is something you can try for sure. If you are not into this type of blend then leave your fingers from it because this is not the blend that may convert you.
Pipe Used: It went trough rotation.
Age When Smoked: They don't print production dates on it.

Although "forte" is the Italian word for "strong", this tobacco is not really very strong. It is very dark and i bit too dry for my taste, but still surprisingly refreshing, i'm not a bog fan of the aromatics, but this one tastes like wine, and is pretty good for a change.

Very intense alcoholic scent upon opening the pouch; supposedly scented with Barolo wine, indiscernible. The aromatic smell is carried and perceptible both in taste and room note. Cheap and widely available.

This is strongly flavoured with wine. So strong, that it's not a real pleasant smoke. Beware for tonguebite also. Still, this is a very interesting T. for it's taste. Mix this half and half with a neutral and mellow VA , then add a sniff (a very small amount, like a little knifepoint) Clovepowder. Adding too much Clove will ruin the mix. Smoke this only having a glas of red wine. Recommended.

I bought two pouches of Cellini. One strong and one mild. The strong (FORTE, in black pouch) was extremely dry. I did like the overall experience however.

To be honest, I did dislike the first bowl. But from the rest of them I am quite satisfied.

The secons (a mild version, white pouch) was sticky wet. It reminded me of some Captain Black variety with just coarser cut. I totaly disliked the expeerience of this.

So, all said, I recommend the strong variant (FORTE) but not the other one.
