This is the third American English in a pouch that I have encountered in the last two weeks making comparisons inevitable. All three blends have some similarities with each other due to falling in the same genre. There are real differences as well. John Bull Royal English is more Burley forward. Super Value English Mixture has the most Perique making it the spiciest. Villiger English Export is the better balanced of the three. I'll spare you, and me, a listing of all the flavor nuances here. JimInks did a great job of that in his review. I'll just say that every component here has near equal influence making this a real pleasure to smoke. I actually love all three of these blends, but have to say I prefer the Super Value because I just love Perique. That won't stop me from giving this four stars though. This is a fine smoke and very budget friendly as well.
Mild to medium in body and taste. Has a lightly added sweetness. Burn is excellent.
