Has a pleasant cherry topping that does sublimate the tobaccos a bit. The Virginia is grassy with a touch of tart citrus as the base of the blend. The burley is lightly nutty earthy, and woody in a secondary role. The black cavendish is a little sugary, and is just above being a condiment. The Kentucky is a little earthy, nutty and woody as a condiment. The strength is just short of the center of mild to medium. The taste is a step past that center. Has a very mild nic-hit. Burns too warm and fast, but at least it doesn't have the chemical taste I noticed in BR's other cherry blend. I recommend this one over the other. Sip it, and you'll avoid tongue bite. Has a very consistent flavor from start to finish, along with a lightly lingering, pleasant after taste and room note. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. An all day smoke.

One of first blends when I started smoking pipes. IT smells of sweet cherry, almost like a cherry syrup. The blend however is bipolar. At times it can be very pleasant and others it could be like a wild dog biting your tongue to oblivion. I found that if you let it dry a little it can be a more flavorful smoke. Over all a nice smoke to try.

The pouch aroma is what you would expect a cherry Cavendish to smell like. That is where the similarities end. It lights well and shows up at the right moisture level. The taste seems to be a little more Burley than your typical American aromatic. The smoke is full, but care must be taken or it will bite. The cherry taste is really prevalent, but the tobaccos are not drowned out. My wife says the aroma is too harsh so this gets lower marks as a good room aroma. And, one more thought. I smoked this outside and came in and she said that I smelled like I had been smoking something heavy. This has never happened before while smoking something like a cherry Cavendish. The flavor stayed the same throughout the bowl. The ash was clumpy like most aromatics can be. It does not seem to ghost your pipe very much. If you do not like the typical American chery aromatics, this will not win you over. If you are searching for the perfect cherry tobacco, keep looking. It is not terrible, but it lacks whatever either type of smoker would want. Oh, and the price is a little high for this stuff. I can only find it online and I would order a lot of other things before I order this again.

This tobacco gets a lot of negative reviews, but to my surprise I've found that it's not bad at all. Certainly, it's nothing to write home about, but it's smokes easy, no tongue bite at all, burns perfectly all the way to the end and has a very nice room note. It lacks complexity of most mixtures and blends, so if you're looking for a smoke with deep flavours, creamy texture and strong taste, that's not it. However, if you're looking for a simple, straightforward smoke, that will be tolerable to other people in the room, that's a nice choice.

Not a great blend, but not as bad as some reviews say. It is what it is, an OTC blend that obviously sells well somewhere. I don't smoke many cherry blends. This one isn't too bad. Nothing about this blend stands out. It is a blend to smoke when one doesn't need to think about what is in the bowl. The cherry flavor and the tobacco flavor are not strong, but they aren't absent, either. This might make a good beginner blend, but the beginner needs to know there are better cherry blends out there.

now called borkum riff ruby in the UK due to stupid laws. so what can I say about this....hmmmm not a lot to be honest. cut wise it's perfect it's moisture level is perfect it packs perfect and it smokes evenly right to the bottom of the bowl to a fine grey ash, doesnt bite and hardly requires a relight...great.

but the biggest upset to this is it's flavour. to me it tastes like a cherry cough sweet, it's not a natural cherry flavour, its a very artificial one and it is one I can't along with sadly as the other borkum riff tobaccos I have tried are very enjoyable.

it's a shame because I think borkum riff could of had some fantastic here, if they used a natural cherry flavourings then this could of been perfect. unfortunately this isn't the case. I will give this tobacco 2 stars for the plus points I mentioned above, if it didn't have these plus points then it would be far lower.

If you like aromatics then in my opinion this is one is definitely worth a try.

I have mixed feelings about it because I'm not an aromatic fan.

This one however if you like the cherry casing is a nice smoke.

I wasn't impressed with my first bowl. The second was delicious, tasted like cherries and cream.

Unfortunately that didn't last, my next smoke was mediocre and I couldn't even finish the pack before I'd had enough of it.

It's good tobacco but I'm only giving it two stars because it's not really for me and I would not buy it again but if you like aromatics of this ilk it could be 4 stars for you, without a doubt.

This tobacco is just fine. Not good and not bad at all, just reasonable. I will smoke it if I cannot find anything better. By the way, it is very cheap!
