Chacom Grand Cru
(2.33)
Much like a vineyard's potential to produce consistent, quality wine, Chacom's Grand Cru is likewise indicative of "great growth." Mixed with stoved red and bright Virginias, sweetened and unsweetened black cavendish, a hint of perique, and a dash of molasses and vanilla, this unique aromatic-Virginia crossover is sure to provide a consistent, quality smoke with just enough of a top note to keep things balanced all around.

Nice tin aroma, a little dry in the tin for my tastes. Hints of vanilla and perique, really not much flavor unless you count the middle of the bowl harshness I get from some C&D blends. Can burn hot but but doesn't bite.

Chacom - Grand Cru.
I find this a little more strident than the other guys. But, I'd be more inclined to put more credence into Pipestud's review than mine! The man knows his tobacco better than I do! However, this is my take on Grand Cru:
Sniffing the tin gives a clear indication that it's a sweetly flavoured aromatic. Most of the ribbons have been well rubbed, it includes only a few coarser pieces. Black Cavendish accounts for the least of GC, it's mainly browns. My moisture looked irrefutable.
The flavour's different to most aromatics. It isn't a cornucopia of stickiness; from the black Cav' and toppings. The vanilla leads where the flavourings are concerned, but there is a SLIGHT viscid note from the molasses. I find the tobaccos are what differentiates this from other aromatics; I get more of the fruity red Virginias, well-complimented by the spicy perique. The Cavendish mellows the smoke, but doesn't take it over. My biggest qualm with this comes from the burn; too warm, too fast.
Nicotine: just below medium. Room-note: not great.
Grand Cru? If it weren't for the burn I'd recommend it. But, because of this I'll only somewhat recommend it:
Two stars.
