The Country Squire Tobacconist Black Arrow
(3.80)
Velvety black cavendish tobacco, blended with care. Great as a gentle smoke on its own, or as a blending tobacco. Black Arrow has been a house favorite for decades.

Zarnicky sat on balcony on cold Montreal afternoon. I smoking Black Arrow and sipping peach ice tea. Black Arrow is deliishous! (Tea good too.) Is very mild aromatic with no bite. Wonderfull tobacco. Tasting like vanilla, chocolate and hint of Carmel. Room note is intockshuating. One of Zarnicky's favourites. You must trying this tobacco. Zarnicky will buy this again.

I was digging through some jars and found my jar of Black Arrow from the squire. I've really been enjoying this one.
The tobacco is as dark as the picture in the description. The moisture content is perfect. Easy to pack and light.
The flavor in the jar and the pipe is a velvety vanilla. The tobacco itself is in the background but smokes cool and produces tons of white smoke. No bite and very mild nicotine level.
This one smokes great straight and can also be added to other tobaccos where you want to add a little extra vanilla umph. I'm going to mix some with some VA stoved to try that also.

I really enjoy Black Arrow! Very smooth and velvety...just little hints of vanilla, peat, deep woods and honey. Not Goopy, blended just right. I love this any time of day, especially late at night. No bite at all. My wife always compliments the room note, and will allow me to smoke this indoors-- and will sometimes take a puff or two.

To give you a hint from where my below impressions are coming from; I favor aromatic blends (vanilla being my favorite), although I am finding I enjoy English/Scottish blends more frequently, which I could not stand when I first started smoking a pipe. I have been trying more of the English/Aromatic combo blends, which I have found being more and more of that I am reaching for for my everyday smoke
Opening the bag what I smelled was sweet, no specific flavor just a sweet note that I could not identify.
The flavor I tasted was mild vanilla. The sweet note came through tasting almost like honey??? I can't really place it exactly. My first thought was this is Sutliff's Molto Dolce without the Burley/Virginia... I like this much more, as the Black Cavendish adds to the sweetness and not having any other tobacco variants changing the taste. This will make it to my regular rotation!
It arrived semi-moist (drier than I expected), no drying time was needed. Was able to light this without issue and stayed lit without any problem. I did not have any tounge-bite with this blend.
