Another outstanding blend from the great folks at Boswell. Titus is set up as a mild English blend this blend offers so much in small increments. You get burley, Virginias, cavindish, perique, Latakia and although they don't mention it I think just a pinch of orientals. Folks this is about the whole ball game in one blend. The opening note is what you would expect with a smoky sweet and sour aroma. The light up was easy and blend seems to burn pretty cool. The flavor upon first blush is a slightly sweet and sour flavor with a smoky background. This is a really nice mild smoke that gently passes along these flavors without any one flavor being overbearing. As you smoke through the bowl the perique rears its head with spice and I honestly felt I tasted a bit of orientals from time to time even though that as not listed on the blend. Had to relight one time about half way through the bowl but perhaps that was my fault as I was day dreaming that day. As you finish the bowl the perique and latakia take over in a not unpleasant flavor. The room aroma is not strong and not unpleasant at all. This is a pleasant blend that can be smoked any time. Frankly Jim Inks review is a bit surprising as he is usually right on but for a mild English I have to completely disagree with his assessment. Remember every palate is different and some folks may be expecting much more but this is a MILD English blend which means it has to please a large majority of smokers. Frankly, I think they did a fine job with this blend.
