I was skeptical of this blend when I opened it. It had kind of a vinegar smell to it that was rather strong. However, this blend tastes wonderful. It has a nice caramel flavor appropriate for the season. Plus, the labels are cool. I mixed this with some 5 brothers to up the strength and it actually got better.

Reviewing this blend on Halloween in 2016! One of the best aromatics I've tasted. The tin note has the apple, caramel and chocolate aromas right up front with some alcohol in the background. The aroma transfers directly to the flavor. In addition to the caramel/chocolate covered apple there is some spice I taste. Cornell & Diehl's cavendish is always cool burning and bite free. The black cav is sugary and toasty while the red VA cav is grassy and sweet. A nice short, dry finish makes this an all day smoke for me.

Having recently finished my first tqo tins of the original Monster, I decided to open my tin of MM II since it makes for a really nice warm weather smoke as it does a cold Autumn pipe which makes it unique since most heavy Aromatics get cloying in the heat. Same description and ingredients as the last offering and still just as enjoyable with its Caramel Apple and Chocolate.
**I will say that although I do love this Halloween blend, C&D needs to change the topping next year, perhaps a pumpkin pie taste with a Headless Horseman graphic or a Jack O' Lantern label to keep the public happy and ensure another sellout of their stock. Pipe smokers always want something new, a limited edition, and if they feel they wont be able to get more, they will buy multiple tins and hoard. Just an FYI to marketers.**
