Born Mexico City. Attended Natonal Autonomous University of Mexco and Cambridge University(1989-1994) as member of Darwin College. Whilst in England I became a fan of Rattrays' mixtures and discovered straight Virginias, in particular G. Smith & Son Old London 100% Virginia, which I highly recommend!

I currently enjoy Dunhill's Light Flake and London Mixture; Rattray's Brown Clunee, Old Gowrie and Marlin Flake, and when I am in the mood for a semi aromatic smoke (especially to make up with my wife, who can't stand anything with Latakia) Larsen's Selected Blend #80. I am also a big fan of Stokkebye's Navy Luxury Flake!

I own a couple of Dunhill pipes, various Stanwells, GBD, two Parker Jockey Club, a Peterson System,and a large number of Savinelli Romas, which somke beautifully.

I teach at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. I've published a book on Symbolic Forms and Communication Theory and play classical guitar as well as blues. I am fortuante enough to have a studio in my garden, big enough to harbor my books, some of the paintings I love, my music, and yes, my pipe collection.
