Alfie Turmeaus Sara's Birthday Blend

This one's blended by us at Robert Graham! As facebook and twitter followers may recollect we've continued to be a bad influence on Sara-a member of our management team-by introducing her to pipe smoking! As a birthday treat we manufactured this blend using the highest quality cigar leaf which she adores with a combination of other fruity tobaccos.

Alfie Turmeaus-Sara's Birthday Blend.

This is not a blend for the faint hearted. It's strong in N and full flavoured so probably not too good for newbies!

The pouches contents range from small to big with both sizes ranging in colour from golden to black. The tobacco has a decent amount of water in it so it would be good for the most impatient smoker who refuses to allow extra time for it to air.

There is no confusing that there's a high proportion of cigar leaf in this from the flavour. Any other tobaccos that have been included are completely redundant in the taste. It's like smoking a Hamlet or King Edward! Joking aside though, I fail to see how a cigar leaf lover couldn't adore this!

Nicotine? Well this certainly packs a punch. It's not the strongest I've had but it's still what I'd class as a heavyweight.

A brilliant point is the burn. It gives me a superb, even, consistent, relatively cool burn that doesn't demand too much attention from either the lighter or tamper.

The room note is again synonymous to a cigar. It gives a fairly potent smell albeit the quantity of smoke isn't too high.

I won't pretend to particularly enjoy cigar leaf in pipe tobacco, it's currently rated at 3.4 in my statistics whilst the traditional pipe weeds score much higher although I score this three stars as I think it's been executed well by Alfie Turmeaus and a cigar leaf smoker would be bowled over by it.
