Robert McConnell - Turkish Izmir.
Although this is meant to be a blending tobacco I find it a good smoke on its own; it's good when I can't really decide what I'm in the mood for as it's woody, slightly sweet and very creamy. The only thing it misses that would make it a great smoke is some sharpness, like what would come from a sprinkle of Perique. The Perique would probably raise the nic' up from mild to medium as well..
The temperature is surprisingly low, not 'cool' but still below medium. This makes it comfortable on the palate. Also, it doesn't bite so if it were to be added to a blend there'd be no worry of bringing agro for the tongue to the mix!
I quite like the room note. It has a nice scent and it's not too much. I guess though, as it's for blending the note would depend on the quantity used.
This is quite a novel smoke. Some blending tobaccos such as Perique or rich Latakia are foul on there own but this is a good smoke by itself.
Recommended.
