Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Kendal Scotch Cake
(3.00)
A very mild blend, using predominantly flue cured Virginia but with the addition of some sun cured both to cool and sweeten the smoke. A rough cut into very coarse pieces also contributes to cooling the smoke.

Gawith Hoggarth - Kendal Scotch Cake.
This is a good smoke, good in all the areas pipe smoking covers:
The enjoyment begun when I first looked at the mix: it contains ribbons: big and small, and many sized broken flakes.
Although it's not topped, there's a strange perfume-like smell from the pouch; this is mild, and absent from the smoke.
If your searching for an uncomplicated blend, you've found it: it's simple to light up, gives a good burn, has a mild-medium nicotine amount, and the flavour is a straight-up Virginia one.
My only issue is with the temperature: it has to be tentatively puffed, otherwise it can get too warm.
I enjoy this blend, it would be a perfect Go-To.
Highly recommended.
