This comes across as pure, rich dark Virginia tobacco; emphasis on rich. Naturally sweet, but never cloying. The perique and Kentucky aren't immediately discernible, I assume they have been expertly added as "spice" to the blend. I can smoke back-to-back bowls, not because it's deficient in any way, but because it is just so good!
Another great one from My Own Blend, I will definitely be a repeat buyer: some to smoke right away, some to age.

Paul Olsen - No.75 Full.
This isn't a flake, broken flake would be correct, quite well broken at that, but not a whole flake..... no way. But what it IS is a very good smoke though.
The first part of the smoke: there's no rubbing required, it's just a case of 'load and light'. It says in the current write up on here that it only contains a bit of Kentucky, but the smoke I get has a lot more smokiness than I'd expect from just a bit. Or, it's had the strongest fire-cure known to man!
Part two: it takes a good five minutes for both the burn and flavour to settle. This is where the Perique rears its head. This corrects my theory about the Kentucky; the Kentucky and Perique swap seats: the Kentucky slips into the passenger while the Perique takes up the drivers role.
Aside from the tobaccos, I get no added flavouring: the only extra taste is the smokiness from the Kentucky.
75 F gives a very good burn. It acts exactly how I want a blend to: it's even, consistent, quite cool, the smoke's bite free, and finishes with a clean white ash.
The nicotine's strong and the room-note has quite a large Kentuckiness to it.
This is a very good morning smoke: easy to load, comfortable to smoke, and strong in N.
Highly recommended.
