Sutliff Tobacco Company - Dark Obsession.

The name Dark Obsession is a touch equivocal, it could be suggestive of chocolate, dark fruit, black coffee, and a plethora of ingredients! For this, though, I'm guessing it's meant in the pragmatic sense: the colour!

It's a very coarsely cut mixture and jet black. Once lit it isn't what I expected from the appearance, and name. I'd expected a very sweet, fruity, or chocolaty, blend, but those words don't apply. Walnuts: these are the leader of the pack, without a doubt. Behind these there's a touch of piquant cinnamon, which at first seems much less than it does after a quarter's passed. I don't notice any of the usual vanilla from the black Cavendish, the nutty, cinnamon note does a grand job of covering any. The burn, because of the chunky cut, is cool and slow.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: pleasant.

Dark Obsession? Well made, quite unique, but not my thing. Somewhat recommended:

Two stars.
