This one is a very mild Virginia flake, with perhaps some Burley, so smooth that it takes a long time before you experience anything similar to tobacco flavour. Comparatively speaking, SF can be defined as an extremely light version of Orlik Golden Sliced or the palest form of Gawith?s Best Brown Flake. Nice rectangular tin, the tobacco inside is precision pressed, very light brown in colour, with a faint hint of baked pastry.
The flakes are easy to rub and pack. It lights quite rapidly and begins by smoking cool. Eventually, the lack of substance or body inevitably force you to puff harder and harder until your palate pleads for a truce. In spite of being a flake tobacco, it is not a slow burning product. I cannot say I enjoyed smoking this one, but those around you tend to appreciate its aroma. Definitely a high quality flake, perhaps for those quiet autumn evenings when, having nothing better to do, you casually pick up a copy of Mrs. Marple's mysteries. It provides the same type of thrill.
