Watch City Cigar Christmas Past (2014 Christmas Blend)
(3.50)
2014's Limited Christmas offering is a simple granular burley with just a whisp of an old time American casing. Reminiscent of the Burley blends of Christmases long past.

Granular cut for sure, and easy to scoop fill your bowl. Chestnut brown with a deep earthy aroma and with just a hint of added topping. WC says tonquin bean and although I can't confirm, I'm in no position to deny.
Where the WC Aromatic #7 missed for me, this one hits dead on. This is a codger burley, as WC states, with just the most minor boost of flavoring. I didn't even get the flavoring some of the time, as it wafted in and out. So this is essentially an easier on the palate codger burley with no bite, full nutty flavor and on the heavier side of the nicotine scale (but not too heavy). Old timey indeed! Less cocoa flavored than their Deluxe Crumb Cut but in the same ballpark, so if one required less flavor, this is the one to choose. Watch City uses unparalleled burleys in their blends that don't go bitter or foul and stay nutty and/or earthy down the bowl. A genius yet simple blend... almost like someone finally perfecting the peanut butter sandwich or something. I hope they still have some of this limited edition available!
