Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. No. 1 CC blending
(3.00)
A pure, flue cured gold leaf Virginia in a course cut. Primarily used as a base tobacco for creating your own blends, this light and refreshing tobacco has the sweetness you would expect, with a subtle hint of citrus and very little in the way of grassy tones .

Gawith Hogarth - No 1 CC Blending.
I find it hard to find many words to describe the pouch note, the best way I can think of is "a steadfast Virginia note"! The colour is very light yellow and the pieces of weed are delicate in size, almost cigarette like. Mine came with a decent moisture amount, no drying is needed but it's not too dehydrated. In the description it says "a subtle hint of citrus with very little in the way of grassy tones" and to tell the truth I get a diametric taste to what's described. The taste I get has little in the way of citrus with subtle grassy tones! To me it is like cigarette tobacco, a bit characterless. Another similarity with cigarettes is the only feasible reason for smoking this on its own would be for N, there just isn't much excitement in smoking this for the flavour alone. The room note is the same as the taste, a bit of a boring one!
I can see why this should be bought for blending, to smoke this straight has no point to it!
Two stars.
