Peter Stokkebye - Burley (No.702).

Even if this is intended for blending, it's a cracking smoke on its own!

It's coarse cut, a mixture of different shades of brown, and only a touch too moist.

The smoke's a very high quality Burley one. The nutty/toasty/rustic side outweighs any sweetness from the Cavendish process. Because the Burley's causticity leads, the sweet flavour comes through very mildly. It burns well, needing very little attention.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: pleasant.

I find No.702 a four star Burley.

Highly recommended.

I find myself reaching for this blend whenever I want a mild yet flavorful burley. The quality of the leaf is exceptional and is good to go right out of the bag. It is most likely uncased and if there is anything it would be the slightest sugar to round it all out. I am a burley lover and this definitely does it for me.

I'm a burley piper. Don't like aromatics at all. Hate the smell and goop. Could give a hoot less about the analysis of room note, etc. (if you don't like what I'm smoking - leave the area). This is now my official go to tobacco. Mixes with anything, especially good with Prince Albert or just a really good, satisfying smoke all by itself. After 50 years of trying everything under the sun, this hits it out of the park (or pipe).

I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that this unassuming bulk blend is actually a superb Burley contender. I find plenty of flavor in the smoke - so it's much more than just a blender, and assuming that you enjoy Burley blends, this could easily be an all day smoke.

I have smoked most of the boutique Burley blends out there (flake, cube cut and otherwise) and this blend more than holds its own on several points: flavor, price, burning characteristics, etc.

Full of typical Burley flavors, this delightful, slightly sweet blend burns great (after drying, like most PS blends) while yielding a nice, pleasant room note.

If you like Burley blends - even for just a change of pace like I do - this is a "must try" due to its more than reasonable bulk price and nice gentle Burley flavors. Like many of the PS blends, this is a genuine bargain.
