Peterson Holiday Season 2014

I admit to have bought the tin for decorative purposes and was glad not to have found a complete throw away content. You are greeted by a pleasant vanilla and milk chocolate topping in the colorful (standard) mix of VA, BC and Burley. When I smoke it, the topping is never obtrusive, not overly sweet, but supportive and nicely fragrant. The tobaccos are present throughout, though I find it difficult to taste Burley in chocolate or nuts & beans toppings. A filter changes the balance between tobaccos and topping towards the topping, makes it more pronounced. It burns well, is low maintenance and doesn’t bite when cautiously smoked.

If I had to say something bad about this tobacco, then probably that vanilla/chocolate is not Christmassy at all to me. Well, not to imagine they had tried turkey or even carp for a change, so this is okay. In second half of the bowl it becomes rather faint, like so many aromatics. There are better and less expensive ones out there.

This Limited Edition was good enough for expecting the worst, but I wouldn’t buy it again, given it were regularly available.
