I opened a jar of this that I put up in 11/05 hoping that I would have a better experience than the first couple of bowls I tried. Some have mentioned variability in the blend, and I think I've got one of those. There is no perique on the palate, nor is there any visible in the flakes. Mild, bitey if rushed (noticeable during the charring light and after). Definitely with that grassy taste, an inoffensive aroma, not much else. I've not had much luck with the PS blends except for Bullseye. May have to try the twist.

I just wasn't terribly happy with this blend. It has decent flavor, but is quite bitey and lacks the smoothness I prefer in my blends. There are other navy flakes out there, and I'd probably point you in their direction.
