The tobaccos are exceptionally muted by the vanilla topping, and you taste little else, except for a hint of nuts and grass from the burley and Virginia, respectively. Has little nicotine. Burns well with a consistent flavor, but gets a little warm after the half way point, so I don't recommend a fast smoking cadence. Doesn't bite, though. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no goop. needs an average number of relights. Not a bad all day smoker or mixer, but isn't special enough to rise above two stars.

This is an okay smoke. Rather ho-hum, lacking the 'presence' that Stokkebye's French Vanilla or Vanilla Cream have. It burns well, does not leave any goopy dottle, and does not bite the tongue. Novice pipers' wives/girlfriends may in enjoy the mild aromatic quality of this blend. Nicely priced.

A boutique tobacco with a lot of vanilla that comes across as actual vanilla. (Not cheap and waxy) I would recommend it to novice over drugstore vanillas.Stokes is cheap. i bought a batch once with chunks of mold in it.

this is not a bad tobacco at all, actually it's a very nice tobacco, it has a deep dark but sweet flavor, but unfortunately I have to compare it to both Gold and sweet Vanilla by P. stokkebye, and it just does't measure up to those two, specially the sweet vanilla. The taste is a bit too sweet and monotonous. It's kind of wet, and a bit too intense in the vanilla casing department, but still is nice to smoke a bowl every now and then, I tried a pouch once, and that'll be it, but I probably will keep buying the two other vanilla Stokkebyes.

This tobacco is a very popular brick & mortar store bulk blend, sold under proprietary names. It is the jet black tobacco that makes a PG and sugar smear on the glass canister. It is so wet that it is hard to burn.
That said, this isn't a bad tobacco, if your primary goal is to taste yummy vanilla casings, like a dessert. It seems to work best in a 50/50 mixture with something like 1Q, which improves its burning characteristics. Aromatic lovers and newbies would probably enjoy it, though less so than the equally-black Lane BCA, which has a slight lead on flavor. Oh, and this stuff smells fantastic, in the pouch and in the smoke. If you don't like it, you can keep it in your car as a long-duration sachet!
