Peretti Omega
(3.69)
Rich and full flavored, it is ideal for relaxing in the evening after a fine meal. This blend is pleasantly spiced with the gentle flavor of Latakia and superb Turkish.

My favorite English. This is a really full bodied smoke. Full of flavor. Smoky, nutty, a bit spicy, with a dark fruity sweetness. Burns well and produces plenty of smoke. Perfect for a cold New England night. I think of it as Boston Nightcap.

This is a great pipe tobacco. It have a strong smell and smooth taste. Reminds me of a fine cigar. It is all natural with no additives. Seem a little dryer than most tobaccos but I like it that way. It easy to pack and even easier to light. One match most of true time. Smokes clean to bottom of bowl. The taste stays the same from beginning to the end. I've been smoking a long time and have been searching for the perfect blend and this is it. If you're looking for a all natural, clean tasting blend look no further. PSSITA!

Omega. Period.
Being myself oriented toward fuller EM, at the first moment I was less than satisfied. Time and 4oz of Omega proved I was wrong. This blend needs some devotion and repetition into a small number ofdedicated briars, to achieve its nice qualities.
Talking of this blend is all about a mirable balance of the VOL triad. Orientals are top class, Latakia is added in perfect measure. Not to talk of the Virginias. The tobacco came on the dryer side of things, nevertheless the smoke is smooth and cool. Medium in strenght, with some reinforcement after mid bowl. Full in flavour, very enticing aroma. I got a flash in reading the old review by kilted1 and :YES indeed, this blend is the closest to the London Blend of old.
Three stars for my personal taste, four for the quality, the latter prevails.

This is one of my favorite B&M blended tobaccos. Omega is a very full bodied English rich with flavor. This blend came drier than I expected, but it was a pleasant surprise since I like my tobaccos on the drier side for best smoking. Packed easily, lit well and remained smoldering for the entire bowl. The flavors were enticing and in some ways this reminded me of Penzance, but with a little more of a nicotine hit. The amount of smoke billowing out of my pipe was highly engaging and enjoyable to no end. Flavors/Aroma were musty, leathery, with just a little sweetness and the cool smoke weaved in and out of my consciousness almost lulling me into a deeply meditative state. This is some good stuff! Highest Recommendation! TYFFMOLIAAS

A nice full English with a respectable amount of Nic, didn't blow my head off though. Came dry, perfect for immediate light up. Very smooth, very tasty, the latakia seemed to dominate a little more than the other components, but a very sound blend.

It seems like a sacrilege to follow Pipestud's last review, but somebody had to do it. Thank you Pipestud for all your great reviews and sage advice over the years. Nice to still see you on eBay now and again.
Omega is a truly great tobacco. If I were to make an architectural comparison, I would say it is like the Empire State building. This is a BIG tobacco - big as life, full of flavor, depth, and complexity. Did I mention BIG? You had better plan on taking some time to contemplate with this one. And I suggest you pass if you are in the mood for something light, sweet, and fluffy. Omega provides a wonderful play of flavors between the VA, Turkish, and big Latakia presence, all wonderfully balanced but in a strong and sturdy way. There will be no doubt that you have had a serious smoke when this baby has gone to ashes - and yet it is a sad realization that the bowl is over.
Peretti makes great blends, and this could be the crowning achievement. I recommend Omega in a LARGE bowl pipe for maximum duration and enjoyment. Highly recommended.

As others have said, the detailed reviews are dead on. A great smoke with an exceptional burn; hardly any relights at all.
Smoky, spice, woodsy taste. Never bitter with a good shot of nicotine. Elicits a slow, contemplative and relaxing smoke.
I am really enjoying Peritti's blends. If you haven't tried any, you owe yourself.

I really like Cambridge Flake and Tashkent, but they're more about the Orientals. Omega is Peretti's best balanced lat blend. This is a good duet between the Orientals and the Latakia, with the Virginia singing backup and binding everything into a cohesive whole.
Nice Cyprian smoke and tangy sour notes share the spotlight. No bursts of Va sweetness, and the Latakia gives no leather, but the balance between smoky and sour is really excellent. This isn't a "total package" tobacco the way Penzance is, but it's damn good and one lat blend lovers should sample. I think it's good enough to keep on hand, and while it maybe isn't quite a four star for me, it's in a small group of really good three stars. Good stuff.

Working my way through several different Peretti blends. Omega is my second favorite after the wonderful RB. Similar to Royal Blend in strength and complexity, and then a little tweek in it's taste, for me. Still a good Balkan. Recommended.
