Upon opening the bag I was greeted by a nicely ribbon cut, bright tobacco. Mostly light colored with some darker leaf mixed in. It had a light "tobacco" smell, not the "sweet honey" aroma I was expecting. It reminded me of the tobacco warehouses in south Richmond, Virginia. This tobacco had just the right degree of moisture out of the bag. I loaded into one of the African block meerschaums I use for tasting and it packed tight with little tamping. I was surprised that I needed to poke a vent hole. It took a couple of lights to get it going. I found it to have a bland taste and not much else. In fact, it almost reminded me of cigarette tobacco and that is not good. I also got a hefty nic hit out of both bowls which I tried. My wife informs me that the room note is "sweet." I cannot say that I recommend this tobacco and will not be adding it to my cellar.
