Peretti Blend No.100
(3.25)
A medium strength, slow burning, cool and aromatic blend of delightful flavor and aroma.
Notes: First blended in 1928, Blend 100 is distinct. Burley, Virginia and Cavendish tobaccos are dressed with a proprietary aromatic and the result is a sweet aroma and taste with a lingering hint of white pepper.

I think the Peretti line of Burley blends are almost in a class by themselves. They are simply far and away superior to anything else out there. No.100 is a terrific cool and old timey blend. Everyone reviewing peretti mentions the old school quality and for good reason. The best comparison are some of Gawith's aromatics in the sense that they use the same type of flavours. Tonka bean, deer tongue, anis, wintergreen, and even rose or bergamont. They do it with restraint. No.100 is a good example. I cant tell you quite what is in it, but its subtle and enhances the nutty character of the burley -- which is just top notch burley. Nothing compares. This is one of their best. I believe it is also an older one of their blends. Like NoName and DD, this is a cool and slightly floral blend, with great mouthfeel. They are all similar and yet each is distinct.
