Definitely more "red" than "nut". The best comparison I can come up with is a fermented Youngberry vitamin tonic. It has a winey, berry-cherry, herbal quality in the pouch and on the tongue. Not for me, thanks. But tastes differ, so give it a try -- even if just to renew your appreciation of your favourite tobaccos.

This review is based on a tin from 1991. Rednut is still in production, but I do not know if it has changed since then. Typical German berry flavouring, but fortunately in small doses. I reckon there is quite alot of Burley in this blend; the description "characteristic nut flavour " fits very well on Rednut.
As a Euro-aromatic, this is not bad actually. There is enough nicotine to satisfy me, and the flavouring diminishes quickly when lit. The leaf is of outstanding quality and the presentation is impeccable.
Rednut is a must for both aromatic- and semi-aromatic lovers. I do not belong to either of those mentioned, but i can see why some might really like it. Buy it at: www.tabak-heinrich.de
