So when I put my nose in the pouch of English Cherry, it’s an aromatic all the way. Taking out of the pouch and it feels like an aromatic, meaning that moist, kind of sticky feeling that most aromatics have. I can smell a hint of Latakia, but it’s just a hint so my thought is that this is another aromatic that tosses a pinch of Latakia into it, but nothing more. Then, after some dry time, I fire up a bowl and there is more than a pinch of Latakia in this blend! My guess is that there could be as much Latakia in EC as a typical medium English blend. The Latakia tastes like it is of the McClelland variety. The cherry flavor is less in the smoke than in the pouch scent, but still quite present. EC burns cool and there is no bite, even when pushed a little bit. In the end, this is an aromatic, albeit a bit of a smoky one. Smoked cherries? No complaints here.
