Cult Blood Red Moon

(3.15)
This dark, decadent blend combines fire-cured cavendish, bright Virginias and burleys with the delicious aromas of natural Royal Ann cherry and dark chocolate. A bit sweet, extremely rich, and unquestionably smooth.

I really enjoyed the very, cherry taste this smoke has. It did not bite and I recommend this to those who like their sweet smokes. I will possibly buy more, but I have a quantity of Lane's Dark Red jarred up so I'll work on that when cherry calls me for now.

Now here folks is a cherry blend that tastes like it smells. But be fore warned, it's quite powerful (flavor wise not nicotine). The taste remains throughout the smoke. Unfortunately, it gets rather boring. This is easily remedied by mixing in some SP Rich Taste or some other burley blend. Add some 5 Brothers or Kendal dark if you want a stronger smoke.

Wow! I'm not a fan of cherry flavored arromatics. I bought this for the tin art more than anything. After I opened the tin the note was a pleasing dark cherry aroma I never picked up on any chocolate notes. But from the first smoke to the last puff it keeps its flavor and is an arromatic that taste just like it smells.

I was sucked into purchasing this tobacco based strictly on the tin art. Seduced yet again by creative marketing. Thankfully the contents of the tin were just as nice as the artwork. A good cherry/chocolate blend that doesn't bite, leave a mess in the bowl or lose its flavor. To my tastes, the chocolate is more of a slight cocoa note in the background that compliments the cherry. The cherry is nice, not harsh or chemical tasting. I could see myself keeping this around.

I have tried several cherry aromatics but this one takes it. My favorite cherry hands down. It is a very pleasant smoke. It doesn't disappoint. Awesome room note and great flavor. It's a must try in my opinion.

I smoked a tin of this over a months time and at first thought it was pretty bland but by the last couple of bowls it seemed to find itself and I changed my mind. It became more flavorful and picked up a little more subdued cherry flavoring along with finishing with a clean taste. It also packed, lit and burned very well right to the end.

I'm not a big aromatic smoker but I do enjoy one from time to time. Blood Red Moon is a very nice chocolate/cherry aromatic that's easy to smoke and has a very pleasant flavor. The tin smells like opening a box of chocolate covered cherries! The overall taste is more of that chocolate covered cherry flavor with some hints of vanilla and amaretto. Late stages of the bowl give more of a subtle wood flavor. The room note according to my wife is, "not bad." Which is about as good of a rating as I can get from her.

Very smooth, very flavorful and nice to smoke. I liked letting it dry out for a bit but it was also fine out of the tin. I don't think I'd find myself smoking it regularly but it might be one that I keep a small stash of for the occasion that I want a nice, sweet, after dinner smoke.

This blend is worth trying, especially if you like cherry flavored tobacco. I must say, it is one of the strongest flavored aromatics I have tried. Very sweet and flavor forward. I didn't believe in ghosts until I smoked this blend, then it haunted me for the next 5 smokes in the pipe I used. It's flavor could be described as cloying. It's done well in that it smokes nicely and tastes as advertised. But it's a bit to intense on the cherry flavor and leaves me wanting more of the tobacco taste. Like I said, worth a try.

I don’t have a whole lot of experience with the individual tobaccos, alone. But I’ve tried 10 or 12 different aromatics and I can say that this one tastes just as it smells in the tin, which is pretty rare. It is mellow and the cooler I keep it, the more flavor I get. It has earthy notes and then some springier ones. The smoke itself is lush and plenty of it. I love that. There is a soft cocoa or chocolate flavor, more like milk chocolate than tangy dark chocolate. The vanilla is there in a creamy background, and the cherry zings beneath the chocolate. It changes a bit during the smoke.More body toward the middle of the bowl. It burns evenly and only needed a relight on the bottom third. Very little dottle was left at the bottom of the bowl. I think it’s a little better if you let it sit in a dish overnight so I prepare the tobacco for my evening pipe and then go to work. The room smells cheerfully like Blood Red Moon now. I received four compliments on the room note while smoking. I’ll buy it again for sure.
