Grassy, delicious, somewhat savory, but with just a hint of honey sweetness. A delicate smoke, but an intricate profile. A daily smoke for me. Highly recommend.

Excellent for 30 years. Slowly, slowly, and the taste is fantastic and never gets bored. I love to smoke it in the evening when I have a lot of time. I've been smoking for 40 years, I've tried a lot of tobacco. If I was told that I could choose only one tobacco for the rest of my life - I would choose a Scottish mixture.

One of the tobaccos I "grew up" with as s pipe smoker. 25 years ago this danish blend was recommanded to me by my local tobacco store while being a new smoker because I couldn't deal with aromatic tobaccos. It is with me since than. After I learnd how to smoke scotish mixture (slow and gentle) I went to the world of english blends. But MB Scotish Mixture is still in my tobacco cabinet. A pleasant mild medium strong blend that screams ! all day smoke! A pouch of MB is on my desk anytime next to two trusty Savinelli 320 pipes. My family calls this "think tank". If I have to solve a work problem... My dear friends are there for me. MB scotish mixture is like a marriage. Gentle trusty and forever there.

It has been noted that in theory, theory and practice are the same, while in practice they are not. In theory, I assure myself that I do not enjoy smoking aromatic blends, nor for that matter any blends dominated by Virginias. But this blend has again proved my theories wrong. I recently came upon a six-year old tin of Mixture Scottish Blend as a side bonus with several other tins and thought I might as well try a bowl. What a surprise! From start to finish, each bowl has been a delight -- creamy, abundant smoke, wonderful flavor, and a steady, easy light. Quite pleasing!

In Per Jensen's words: "Without Mixture, no MacBaren". The company was built on this blend and for good reason. Packs well, burns well, stays lit, tastes wonderful, VERY reasonably priced blend. I love Danish tobaccos in general, MacBaren blends especially and this is a classic example of how good Danish blends can be. No reason not to at least try this blend unless you don't care for this type of tobacco or if you don't know how to smoke Danish tobacco.

This might just be one of my favourite blends. It smokes well and the cut is excellent, but where it really shines is in the flavour. Sweet and earthy, this tobacco just fills the air around you with a comfortable aroma and atmosphere - like sitting by a warm fire on a winter night.

It's not heavy on the nicotine, so if that's what you're after I might go for something else, but if what you want is a nice relaxing evening smoke then this is the blend for you. Would recommend highly. Smoke well my friends.

This is one of my all time favourites. A sweet, but not overly sweet, blend that never disappoints. It´s full of many different flavours, a result of the 35 different tobaccos it´s made of I guess, and seems to change slightly through the smoke. I find it impossible to get tired of this one. Goes without saying it is not a tobacco for those who hate aromatics, but still it is very "clean" to be an aromatic, and doesn´t have any artificial or chemical taste. And no bite either, if smoked correctly (pack a little bit looser, light well, but keep a slow pace when puffing, make sure to taste every puff before taking a new, don´t belch).

Tongue taste (the taste you feel on your tongue when you first get the smoke into your mouth): honeylike, round and sweet, sometimes towards the spicier side.

Snork taste (the taste when you roll the smoke around in your mouth and out of your nostrils): semi-sweet, creamy, quite full-bodied. Aromatic but with a natural tobacco taste.

All together: a tobacco that manages to combine a good taste on the tongue and "snork" (which many in my experience fail - often it is either or), and which has a full bodied, powerful but still pleasantly mild taste.

This was my first tobacco, smoked three 50g pouches of this as this is the only tobacco widely available around here. Then i went on to other tobaccos to expand my tastes. Yesterday i picked up a 100g tin again and it still gives me that wonderful taste and perfect moisture straight from the tin. Give it a quick rub and packs like a dream, few relights and little or no toungebite for me. Great smoke any time at day, gets a solid highly recommended from me.

When I first opened the tin I was unsure if I wanted to smoke it or eat it, it smells that good. My wife was near me when I opened it and smiled and laughed at my initial comment. As she described it was "oh yes", in a soft husky voice.

I love this blend, the aroma is amazing and although it was on the moist side, I had no trouble with lighting and no relights have been needed so far.

This blend falls into my "special treat" category as I'm only buying it as a reward to myself.

I highly reccomend this blend.

I am still new to pipe smoking as I have only been going for about a year now but my goodness do I love this blend. I am still experimenting and was smoking alot of aromatics when I purchased this. This is nothing like an aromatic.

The taste is great and it burned great. The roomnote according to the wife was similar to cigarettes so i would say tolerable.

This is one of my favorite smokes. This tobacco, a beautiful burley blend and University flake are my favorite tobaccos. These got me away from the aromatics and I am very glad.
