I bought an ounce of this from a B&M because I like to have an aromatic around, if I am going to be smoking around non smokers. It smell like toasted marshmallows. No problem with that. It's just that any speed I tried to smoke this, to barely sipping, it burned really hot. I tried different pipes. Nothing worked. Maybe a straight Virginia with this much topping is hard to handle.

I like and enjoy many bulk blends but this is not going to be one of them, I found this tobacco heavily cased with a bitter flavor. This biterness is covering up whatever the base tobacco would have tasted like.
I agree with other reviewers that this is similar to Skandinavik in many respects, but as I also do not enjoy that blend I will have to pass on MV-1000.

MV-1000 tobacco isn’t bad in its own right. The Virginia tobacco seems to be a good quality tobacco. It has citrusy, grassy flavor as expected. Can experience a little tongue bite at times, but that’s bright Virginia for you. The fine ribbon cut, almost a shag, I suppose could be contributing a little to tongue bite too. Smoke it slow and easy to avoid the tongue bite. The vanilla top note is light and has a minimal influence on the flavor of the tobacco. However, what really turned me off about this tobacco is the lingering room note. I could come back an hour later and smell it hanging in the air. It is sweet and nauseating. It reminds me of Sutliff’s Vanilla Custard, which is an odor that repulses me. If it wasn’t for that lingering room note I probably could give this tobacco a fairly good review, but as it sits, no pun intended, that lingering room note is a deal breaker for me.

The description for this blend says subtle. Indeed! I'm not a fan of subtle in my tobacco. The flavor is so subtle that it's almost not there. The taste that's left is that of mediocre quality tobacco (not the finest). It's smoking properties... don't matter. Can't recommend.

I unfortunately have a giant jar of MV-1000 that was gifted to me, so I have a lot of experience with this blend. The Virginias are quite bland here, but smooth and unoffending. The vanilla topping burns off quick, leaving you with an uninspired smoke for the remainder of the bowl. I really don't see the point of this blend existing with Lane Limited's 1Q being leagues better and of similar character.
