I tried this in response to my wife's complaints about the odor of my pipe smoke. She complained that her clothes smelled like cigarettes. My only experience with cherry flavored tobacco was with Cherry Blend, a viciously biting substance that I maintain is responsible for more people taking up the pipe - AND more people giving up the pipe - than any other tobacco.
I found Lane's Cherry Cavendish under another name in a discount cigarette outlet and decided to give it a try; the price was certainly right. The pouch aroma is quite strong. It smells more like something to eat than something to smoke. The tobacco was nicely moist, though not sticky. On lighting the bowl, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that while the aroma of the smoke is emphatically CHERRY, the taste of the smoke was more subdued. I have not found that this tobacco will bite at all. The nicotine content is, at least, medium, and is sufficient to satisfy the addict.
I realize that this tobacco is not everyone's "cup of tea," but the smoker of aromatics who craves a cherry experience should find this blend very pleasant indeed.

This was the first pouch tobacco I tried. It smelled very good in the glass container at Pipes Unlimited - New York (Props for Uncle Bob) It has a great roomnote, and the taste is very mild. The only problem I have with it, is that is was a bit dry, so I put a humidor in for a nite, and that helped moisten it up. Other then that, its a good tobacco. This will always be a staple in my stock. Im a big fan of the other Lane products and will eventually try them all! Ace its time to smoke! Peace....... M.O.Z.Z.M.A.N.N.

I think this one is often referred to as "Very Cherry" in the tobacco shop's. If you like cherry aromatic tobacco that is smooth and has no tongue bite then this one is for you. I smoke it when I get home from work to the time I go to bed. I have searched for years for a cherry tobacco that burns cool and found happiness in Lane Limited's "Very Cherry". I have been smoking it on a regular basis for about a year now. In my eyes it is the "shiznat" of cherry tobacco's with an exception for Rattray's Terry Red that is also a great one.
