Recently bought a pound of BLWB for the first time. After smoking several bowls in various pipes I ordered another pound. This is my type of aromatic [What I call a semi-aromatic]. It is ready to smoke straight from the bag. Moisture was close to perfect [I'm not a fan of moist tobacco] Mild in strength and Vit N. Toppings are lightly applied. I'm able to taste a pleasant nuttiness and cocoa. Can't detect any vanilla that others have referred to but I'm sure that it adds to the overall gentle flavour. This is the type of blend that I reach for when I'm not in the mood for a particular genre. BLWB is the quintessential inoffensive 'all day' smoke that has a pleasant room note [Fine for social occasions] The 2.4 rating I suspect is due to it being a Lanes blend. If it came in a tin under a boutique name I'm sure that the 'snobs' who look down their noses at budget blends would give it a much higher rating. BLWB is a quality 3 star blend. If you like 'codger' Burley blends like Carter Hall and Prince Albert, you'll love BLWB I'm sure. Highly recommended.

Not a bad tobacco, subtle sweetness to it which is better than the artificial cherries and so on. Mild hit and easy smoke. Just lacking something special.

Burley light. A burley blend for those who like burley. Who woulda known. I bought this at a local brick and mortar store because all they had was bulk lane blends and I felt rude not buying anything (and I certainly don't need more cigars at the moment). So I picked a few ounces of this stuff up. Smells like chocolate. A little moist, but it doesn't effect smokability one bit.

I thought I'd end up blending with it, but actually, this stuff ain't half bad. Pretty much tastes like Carter hall but a tad heavier on the casings. Milk Chocolate, nuts, molasses, rum, a bit of grassyness & toastyness. a tiny bit of a chemical aftertaste but nothing off-putting. Burns easy like good-ole burley should, and refuses to bite. Absolutely no nicotine.

Overall I can't really find anything offensive or bad about this blend, but there's not a whole lot to recommend either. If you like simple burley aromatics like Sir Walter, or Carter hall, then this is a solid 3 stars. If not, don't pay any mind to this blend, your not missing much.
