The Virginias are very citrusy. The overall taste is reminiscent of that of an old fashioned. There is a subtle burley flavor, the standard nutty quality. The casing is there, but plays a background role to the tobaccos. The old fashioned qualities make sense as there is a whisky flavor, a sweetness from the cavendish, and the Virginias give it the citrus twist. The burley rounds it out and makes it feel like a tobacco rather than a boozy vape. This is not much like the cigar of the same name (which I enjoy and piqued my interest in this blend), which makes sense as I believe they are entirely unrelated.

No nicotine, No gurgle. I did get several compliments on this while smoking it for several days in public. That said, I am not won over, maybe because I don't drink Irish Whiskey? Very similar in taste to C&D Nutty Irishman. I would not buy again.

Nice pouch note. A little "bitey" if puffed too aggressively but when sipped patiently, however, it's quite pleasant and enjoyable - just like a good whiskey.
