Not too impressed with this one. The Virginias are average at best. The Perique is flavorful and spicy, but has a mild harshness. The Cavendish is tasty, but only shows itself on occasion. It can burn hot if your concentration lapses and you smoke too quickly. There are better choices, but this will do if nothing else is available.
Mild to medium in body and flavor. I think I can detect a very mild sweet topping.

Is there really any need for another in the long line of Escudo clones? We have Deluxe Navy Flake, Luxury Bullseye Flake with its Cavendish core, and Davidoff Flake Medallions. All more or less approximate the loved formula. And here is Cask No. 7. Does it offer anything the others have failed to deliver? Does it provide a price point advantageous to its peers? No, and no. Cask No. 7 is a virtual clone of LBF, down to the very price. I'll smoke my sample and stick to Escudo, thanks.

This is based off the 100 gram tin. For starters i do like the tin design. With the seal broken and he lid still on, i don't believe this tobacco will dry out in this tin, but i'll find out later on down the road.
The coins are at good moisture. The tin note is dark fruit, and straw. I tried the folding and rubbing out the coins.
Folding the coins, the 1/3rd of the bowl keeps the tin aroma flavor with a slight sweetness and hay. But after that it just goes flat to the point that you dont want to finish the bowl.
Rubbing them out helps retain the tin aroma flavor almost all the way down the bowl with a sweet pop of caramel every now and then.
This is good but its also bland at the same time, but its not the blends fault. It's mild so just anything you eat or drink before hand or during can completely over power it and fry your palate in a hurry so eat and drink light.
While it is enjoyable, its just too mild for me.

The tin note is immensely like raisins.
The taste seems almost bland somehow. There is a bit of spice, and when you hit the cavendish you really get the sweetness. Perhaps it feels bland in contrast to the strong aroma. I don't dislike it, but it doesn't do a ton for me.
