Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Curly Cut Deluxe
(3.00)
As Curly Cut, but made on a different spinning machine which produces a thicker rope. This tobacco was introduced prior to A.C. Peterson reintroducing Cope's original Escudo. While the two tobaccos are similar in appearance there is no Perique used in this blend. This is a medium strength tobacco.

The tobacco comes in dark brown spun disks, similar in appearance to Regular Curly but with the addition of modest amounts of very dark strands. This tobacco has less bite than Regular Curly, and it has some light sweetness and a bit of flavor. In my opinion, this is superior to Regular Curly but has very little to recommend it. Paddy.
