Mac Baren knows how to package. Tobacco in the package is always at its' best condition, even long after it is opened. Moisture is also balanced, and very suitable with the product.
But, this doesn't feel like smoking tobacco. Too sweet, a medium flavor but no tobacco. After a while you sense the oily texture on the tongue and palate. After learning this taste, I definitely smelled it in the package too. This oily taste is the most it gets closer to smoking a real tobacco.

Having tried a few aromatics, I elected to give this a try. On opening the packet, you are greeted with the smell of the fruitiest ice cream ever! This should come in a Cath Kidston polka dot style pack, as that sums up its style. It is the smell of happiness and glee.
Smoking it is pleasant enough. It is very mild so it will not satisfy anyone wanting their dose of vitamin N. Perhaps blending it with some Peterson Irish Flake will give it the kick it needs. This woman in a polka dot dress needs a good hefty pair of Dr Martens to go with it! It's pretty but it needs some oomph! It is certainly the most aromatic blend you will find. Very much like the fruitiest vape in existence.

When I started piping I was not aware of something like chemical burn exist. My poor beginner times was full of MB tobaccos and I didn't enjoy that. I thought it must be a wrong technique and because of my defined willpower I struggle for a long time. I even quit piping after two years trying. Back to this cubic experience. I must admit, that even then this was my no 1. tobacco. Tastewise and aroma-wise it is quite fine aromatic. The problem I have with MB is that chemical bite and for me it is unbearable. When I gave this brand a chance after all those years of smoking preferably Dan, G&H, SG, some RmcC and few others (It was a sample of the Scotch Scarret (VaBur)) I hit the same wall. I need to dry any MB to that level that the burn is gone but still some taste remains. And such a spread is sooo narrow that I usually mis the pinpoint. So I end up either gettin a nice taste for several puffs and then I'm burned so hard I need to stop smoke for a week, or with a cigarette similar experience. I already heard from two different boys that they had bad chemical bite with MB and Peterson and that's why I never tried any Peterson tobacco. But after years I remember I have still some good rest of MBSC left somewhere in the shelf so I found that and give it a try. But it was still the same bitting experience so I had to throw the whole bowl to a trash bin. So I can imagine this could be a four star winner for somebody but with respect to (not only, obviously) my experience I can only somewhat recommend that with that big ONLY IF you have that chemistry that you can handle MB. And if Peterson bites you proceed with CAUTION.
Smoke and Drive: Hell NO! This needs toooo much attention to even be a bearable experience!

I'll start by stating that I only smoked a sample (two and a half bowls worth) of this tobacco before writing this review. I would normally smoke at least a couple of ounces before reviewing a blend.
This is the sweetest aromatic pipe tobacco that I have ever smoked. It is so sweet, that it's almost hard to tell that you're smoking tobacco. I would compare it to smoking Shisha.
I am not a fan of very artificial aromatic tobaccos and there is little doubt that the sweetness of this smoke is entirely the result of the toppings. That said, one normally detects poor quality tobacco leaf accompanying the aromatic toppings in blends like this; I do not! What little tobacco I do detect appears, to my taste buds, to be of a decent quality.
I'm not sure you can actually class this as a pipe tobacco as the smoking experience is so removed from anything else I've tried, but it is worth trying, particularly if one has a taste for candyfloss or sugar mice.

Simply put, I just didn’t care too much for this aromatic. The tobacco is of high quality, and the moisture content was spot on perfect, however, the toppings just didn’t seem to go well with each other in my opinion. I like fruity or citrus flavored tobaccos, and I like sweet chocolate or vanilla tobaccos, but I just don’t seem to care for blends that combine the fruit with chocolate as is done with this blend. Again, this is a quality aromatic, and it seems to be enjoyed by many, but it just simply isn’t my cup of tea. I would suggest that you find someone who has some, or somewhere where you can sample this blend before buying it as it is a rather expensive aromatic. Either way, you should sample this for yourself as reviews are subjective and everyone experiences the tobaccos differently.

This is the second of the "Cube" tobaccos I have tried after Gold. This one tends to bite too much. I also found the taste to be a little "light" for an aromatic. I have generally found the Cubes to not be as good as the Halberg's.
Not horrible, but not great.

I tried this tobacco today. the first thing i noticed, was the smell of the tobacco, when i opened the pouch. It´s difficult to discribe it. It was some kind of nut-flavour. but also mellow and some kind of fruity.
But now we´ll come to the smoke. It has kind of a fruity buquet. But the main part of the taste is based on a golden virginia. For me, the taste is not intensive enough.
fact: a quiet good tobacco, but not good enough for such a high prize
