A (possibly) limited introduction from Milan's for Christmas. After several ounces I'm ready to say that this tobacco is quite fantastic. Firstly, it's aptly named. I would call this blend "Christmasy" even if it was called "Dog Droppings". A rose by any other name, right? The tobacco is mostly dark Cavendish, with strips of Virginia and Burley shot throughout. The note when you open the back is fantastic, and oddly very similar to the room note. It can only be described, I believe, as spicy, with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg throughout. The packing is easy, as is the light. Any preferred method for packing your pipe has will more than likely do. Now, for the important part, the taste. If any reader has smoked the Peterson Christmas Blend 2011 they will be familiar with this one with one major, positive exception: This blend doesn't bite anywhere near as hot as the Peterson. You really have to abuse this blend to make it nip at you. This, like most tobaccos, smokes best when sipped. But even if you're a power puffer then you will still get a great amount of enjoyment out of this. The taste stays pretty consistant, up until the tail end of the third part of the bowl. Near the doddle it will lose most of its flavor and become rather bland. This is an amazing tobacco blend that will satisfy even the most stalwart Scrooge.
