An aromatic ribbon cut black as dog guts. Quite wet somewhat sticky but burns quite well. I think this bugger could really bite if it wanted to, but the sauce has been applied strongly enough and with sufficient nicotine strength that there is no need to make up a lack of satisfaction and taste through overzealous puffing. Not a huge fan of black Cavendish, but this is okay here. This is pretty heavily flavored, but there is an actual tobacco taste underneath and that signature corn syrup taste of the Cavendish doesn't intrude too strongly until the end of the bowl at which time it gets bitter as well. Obviously pretty sweet but stops short of cloying. The best part of this is that the cherry sauce tastes very natural to me, and I hate synthetic fruit flavors, in particular cherry, blueberry, and raspberry. This produces high volumes of white smoke and it is very fragrant- a crowd pleaser. Aromatics aren't my thing, but this is a welcome if infrequent diversion. Leave this blend to the cobs because you'll taste it afterward for some time.

Fun stuff. Not sophisticated or anything, but a nice smell and nice taste. I ordered it to try blending with other things which need mellowing out and better PR.

Do Not order in bulk with other bulks unless you want everything else in your order to smell like cherry too. Total noob mistake I'm sure; won't do that again.

I like this blend. It is a little wet at first but by the third day it was fine. Good cherry taste and a crowd pleaser. Nobody complained about the smell. It is a smooth smoke not complicated. A good blend for someone starting pipe smoking.

Black Cav with a rich dark cherry topping. Very moist and in my experience, no point in drying because it simply will not. haha Anyway, very mild in nicotine, the cherry is smooth and silky in the mouth and lasts the whole bowl. The particular thing about this tobacco that kept my interest was a strange, powdery mouth feel. Like the smell of vanilla-talc powder was somehow infused into the leaf. It somehow reminds me of my first babysitter's perfume. haha This is something very unique and I will definitely enjoy a bowl from time to time; especially with guests as the room note is terrific.

Not an Aromatic smoker by any means, but this is a nice change-up.

I really have not found a Black Cavendish that I do not like. This is a good Black Cavendish aromatic. The Cherry is pretty subtle, and that's probably why this one doesn't bite like many cherry aromatics do. It is a little moist but whatever the humectant is, it does not give me the PG-headache like Cherry Captain Black does. The room note is very pleasant.

Nice smoke. I thought it was better in a cob or a meer. Not quite as good in a briar. The flavor lasts through the bowl. It came a bit moist, and I had some relighting issues at the bottom of the bowl. It didn't dry readily. That is the only reason for three stars rather than four

I used to smoke just about anything in my early years, which meant mostly aromatics. I started smoking English and balkan-style blends about 15 years ago and didn't look back. A friend who just went back to pipes gave me some of this to try. I must say, I was impressed. To me, most aromatics burn badly and taste like cardboard, but not this one. PS obviously starts with good quality tobaccos, and it shows. A bit wet when new, it needs some drying out, but then it burns well and tastes quite nice. A pleasant surprise. 3 out of 4 stars.
