Peterson Holiday Season 2012
(3.33)
This mixture creates harmony and comfort - the perfect antidote for this hectic season. Delicious Virginia tobaccos of different shades and cuts are blended in proportion with three kinds of exquisite black cavendish. When smoked this tobacco presents itself as substantial and opulent as well as soft and cool. The fragrance is refined and strong in expression and combines delicious aromas of hazelnut, caramel and baked apples.

I picked a tin of this up along with the 2013 blend and unlike the newer blend I am enjoying this a lot more.
The smell on opening the tin is to me a very heavy citrus note with lots of lemon and orange and the smoke reflects this well delivering a sharp kick of citrus along with some floral notes and sour apple hard sweets.
One word of warning though, if smoked too quickly it will bite something chronic so slow smoking is the only option in my opinion which is a shame as I always end up wanting more of that sour apple flavour.

Tasting an Xmas blend of 2012 in 2014... One thing I have to say, it is lovely, and all around me loved its smell. It's a very mild and highly aromtaic mixture. A 3* star, when you just feel like not really smoking... just having candy in your mouth.

If you are lucky enough to have a tin, I do, tee,hee hee,,it's Christmas in a tin, room note lovely, the Missis, smokes a little fast, may be me , can't stop puffing it. Green fresh apples crunching, mixed with a touch of cinnamon, then Christmas pudding with all the complexities, brandy touches, plums, almonds, apple raisins, very complex, rewarding, if not too rapid a smoke, First smoke No thank-you....third smoke,,ordered another tin,,get one if you can !!!! Doc'spipe review fills in the words I fail to say, well said.
