I had two ounces of Black Gold from a sampler and decided to smoke it all on Christmas Day while I was at the Bellagio here in Vegas. I have always enjoyed the Burley and Black Cavendish mix whether purchased or made myself from BCA and Granger, the cool and aromatic BC plays off the nutty Burley and the latter adds flavor and nicotine. The old ladies playing the slots complimented the aroma with the usual "my husband, Uncle etc. smoked a pipe...." Delightful as an all day smoke.

Hello,
(Please bear in mind that I'm a novice at rating tobacco).
I purchased this as part of a sample package. The first couple of bowls were smoked out of doors, and I wasn't sure whether the taste etc. was being dissipated because of such. The third bowl was indoors and the results were the same. I found this to be a very mild tobacco. The room note was slight, and perhaps best described as a caramel. Nothing especially stood out but I regard that as a positive because neither was there anything unpleasant at all about it. It seemed to want to be smoked. After a few lights it burned very, very, easily. This was a mild smoke that I appreciate as such and will return to. Thank you.
