4noggins Painter Hills
(3.09)
I've been told that this gets as close to the classic blend "Revelation" as one gets. Painter Hills is a light English blend of Virginias, Burleys, Latakia, and Perique, with an added light topping.

4noggins - Painter Hills.
The blend is a medium size ribbon, and there's only a few twiggy pieces. The smell from the pouch has citrus in charge, smelling quite sharp. Moisture? As ever with 4nogins house blends: faultless.
The smoke from it's the 'sharper' kind of aromatic. Again, the citrus leads, with a caustic lemon-like flavour. At first light the Burley appears to be in charge, and the Virginia's are the support act. Until halfway through, where they seem to trade positions. The Perique gives a gentler character than is often the case: plummy, fig-like, and not at all brash. I find the Latakia virtually absent, getting no wood or smoke from it. I can't pick a fault with the burn, and the temperature's cool.
Nicotine: medium. Room-note: tolerable.
I've adored some of the blends from 4noggins, but I'm not a fan of this. Somewhat recommended:
Two stars.

I was given this as a free sample. It was intolerable to smell the unsmoked tobacco, although surprised me when smoking. A welcomed change of palate! Quite a mild smoke. I am not entirely sure how pleasant it is for others in the room. I would say this is one You either really enjoy or altogether dislike!
