Ted's Pipe Shoppe Private Stock
(3.00)
A different cut than most aromatics these days. Cube cut burleys, Virginia flakes, and maduro cavendish tobaccos are skillfully blended to make an easy burning blend with an aroma of chocolate chip cookies. A good place to start your portfolio of pleasure.

The nutty, earthy, woody, mildly sweet cube cut burleys are the main component. The sugary maduro cavendish is a supporting player. The grassy, lightly tart and tangy citrusy Virginia flakes are essentially a condiment. The chocolate topping is a little more obvious than the vanilla, and both sublimate the tobaccos to a moderate extent. The strength is mild, and the taste is in the center of mild to medium. The nic-hit is very light. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool, clean and a little slow, mainly due to the cube cut burley. Has a consistent flavor all the way through. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires some relights. Has a pleasant, lightly lingering after taste and room note. An all day smoke.

I have just come back to this a year later after first trying it since I’ve been working on my cadence. A very pleasant cool smoke. The first flavors I got were mostly chocolate, and a little macadamia from the burley. Somewhere midway I did get hints of vanilla. Burned all the way to the bottom with little Dottle. I did like it and I would suggest it to any piper.

This is another good smoke from Ted's. Very sweet start with a hint of vanilla that turns into a hint of a chocolate chip cookie. I was very surprised at how cool of a smoke this was. No mess in the bottom of the bowl either. If you like a bit of sweetness and a mild smoke you can't go wrong here.
