During a visit to a local coffee shop I ran into a fellow pipe enthusiast (John), we talked about pipes for a bit and he offered me a bowl of PP. I took a whiff of his almost empty leather pouch and was delighted by the subtle cocoa smell. Another reviewer here mentioned a connection to Coco Puffs cereal, and I'd say it was a spot on comparison.
The first puffs were very mild and I wondered what happened to the chocolate. Thankfully things began to develop midway. I didn't taste the vanilla, but the chocolate and distant coffee were there. It made for a calm warm smoke.
This is not a potent aromatic and the nicotine is likely very low, but the light taste makes for a good summer blend with zero bite.

This is truly a great all-around tobacco. A complex taste that does not coverup the underlying tobacco. Having trouble putting this down, it satisfies anytime of day. Burns well, not too moist and few relights. Little to no bite. A great addition to my regular rotation!

Pipers pleasure one of the aromatics from Boswell I was truly looking forward to. The verdict was in and it did not disappoint. Upon opening the bag the smell of the tobacco was a chocolate vanilla scent. Needless to say it was a very good blend for the aroma presented. The smoke was very cool and really using a nose breathing method gave a good sweet taste of chocolate goodness. This tobacco left a good tobacco after taste to some degree but it wasn't a taste to were you'd go running for the mouthwash. The room note was also very pleasent and I would recommend smoking this daily. Enjoy everyone and I hope this helps.

Tastes good. The vanilla comes through the most prominent. Not tasting as much cocoa or coffee like the description suggest. Very smooth, cool, and mild smoke. A little bit too mild. Great smell

I found this blend very enjoyable and relaxing to puff on. Creamy chocolate and coffee with a nice sweetness on my tongue. It's like drinking a nice cup of warm cappuccino .Another good one from Boswell and Son.

This takes some drying time...significant drying time. That accomplished, this one will open up and offer some interesting flavors, notably chocolate and coffee. Not black morning coffee, but that fancified stuff you get at Starbucks.
The vanilla never comes through and acts as a backing. No bite, smooth, no noticeable nicotine.

This is tied for my favorite Boswell tobacco along with Boswell's Best. This smells incredible and the room note is ridiculously good. For me, I need to be separated from the tobacco that I'm smoking in order to appreciate the full scent and room note of the tobacco, or walk into a room of other people smoking it (it doesn't help that I'm the only pipe smoker I know). With this tobacco, it tastes like it smells and I can get the full impact of the room note as i'm smoking it. In my experience with Boswells, the smoke gets really good about 10 minutes after first lighting. It's like the tobacco settles as you smoke it, much like decanting a wine. The flavouring is not overpowering the natural tobacco taste and smell. It's a cool smoke that provides a warm feeling and reminds me of tobacco smells from when I was a kid in Northern Ontario.

Another good Boswell aro. Cool burning, copious smoke. Flavor of cocoa & coffee lasts all the way to the end. Maybe my taster is weak, but I find myself actually wishing for a bit MORE of the mocha flavor. Great room nite of course. Give it a good 20min of air dry time before lighting and the relights are kept to a minimum and the flavor is a bit better. Pairs great with coffee or Puerh tea.

A delightful aromatic blended by JM Boswell. It has a great flavor and no bite. Come at the proper moisture level right from the tin or bag. It is truly meant to smoke rightaway. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee are right at hand. If you like aromatics this is a blend to put in your rotation.
