A complex blend of Virginias, cavendish, Latakia and Oriental Leaf. The name 'Aperitif' suggests this well balanced medium mixture should be enjoyed prior to dinner.

16th-Sep-2003. Aperitif,I can enjoy anytime of day.Not overpowering! To me,it's abit like Dunhill's 965-without the spice. All the flavour's come out to play,& is a an enjoyable smoke.I also love Dunhill's 965 & Night Cap.I'm not that keen,at all about Early Morning Pipe.I find Aperitif far more interesting. It smoke's nice & dry,& doesn't bite. I'll go along with all the positive's that have been said, before me.81/2 out of 10.

Aperitif is one of those tobaccos whose characteristics give rise to a strong and vocal divide amongst those who partake of it. I began smoking Aperitif when aromatics lost their lustre. Being that it was the first Dunhill product I'd ever smoked, I was struck by the richness of the tobacco, the pungency of the orientals when the tin was first opened. Having a bit more experience with piping now I find the blend to be decent, not stellar, but workable. The latakia is too muted, the orientals too bright and tongue bite lurks for the heavy puffer. And yet, the nicotine level runs high and when given some respect, Aperitif can satisfy. As well, I find the room note interesting.
