Torben Dansk No.14 Navy Cut
(3.00)
This flake Danish specialty type, prepared from various Virginia, is full and aromatic taste, particularly soft and gentle in the smoke. The subtle flavor blend harmoniously with the natural sweetness of the Virginia and refines the room fragrant note. This tobacco can wear out easily and is therefore not only for "flake specialists" an unproblematic enjoyment.

No. 14 Navy Cut has a tin note that is very similar to tobacco's of a bygone era. As a somewhat newer generation pipe smoker, it reminds me of a common scent of cheaper blends of the 1960's that my father smoked. The room is old school as well. The large flakes are somewhat moist and the aromatic scent mixes with the sweet Virginias. Fortunately, the drug store scent doesn't carry over to the blend. While the aromatics are very present, they don't overpower the blend although lovers of straight Virginia Flakes like Gawith, may be put off. Somewhat sweet, No. 14 Navy Cut was enjoyable, but one tin was enough for me. If you should happen to come upon a tin, a cob is recommended as this will ghost a pipe. Recommended.
