Peter Stokkebye Black Cavendish (No.201)
(3.63)
Intense steam and pressure unleash the light aroma of this mildest of blends. Loose cut. The sublime flavor of vanilla bean extracts imbue this mixture with a deliciously mild taste and aroma. This fine blend is ideal for either enjoying it as is or for blending.

This baccy is super mild but loaded with flavor. It looked very wet but suprisingly stays lit with no problem. Very relaxing blend for anyone that likes aromatics. Highly recomended to newbees or seasoned pipesters

I'm not generally an aromatic smoker and never thought I would love PS No. 201 Black Cavendish, but I do. Smooth, creamy, a little sweet, a little sour and you can actually taste tobacco. Also a wonderful room note and good aftertaste. It's a great accompaniment to a morning cup of coffee an after dinner cordial.
As to be expected, it's also a great mixer. I've tried it with English and VaPer blends. It improves both flavor and mouth feel and can refresh a blend that's gone stale. As delivered, it is a bit moist so I recommend drying it out for an hour or so before lighting up. However, it only takes a few relights to get it going even if you don't.
I bought a few ounces to try and immediately went back for more. I highly recommend it.
P.S. I notice that the description of PS 201 says it has a vanilla topping. I don't taste vanilla, just a mild sweetness that is more like that of marshmallows than anything else I can think of.

Just re-ordered, I really like this black Cavendish. Super mild, super sweet. Will not burn your tongue , burns well that's entire bowl, always satisfies straight or mixed. Great late night with old time movie.

I normally Buy Lane Limited BCA. Unfortunately my Tobacconist only had this Peter Stokkebye blend. This stuff is ok but I prefer the Lane Limited Brand.

The best black cavendish. Can add to almost any blend to give some body and sweetness. Can help cool down a virginia. The mechanics the best of its type. Stays lit, almost no moisture, smokes cool.
Great by itself, but a workhorse in a blend.

This is my second cavendish I've gotten down on in the last little bit, the other being the Lane Limited. What a mild, sweet smoke. It burns well and evenly with vanilla notes and something a little sweet - brown sugar. A good starter pipe tobacco I imagine, it also is great with a latte first thing in the morning.

Very mild black canvendish. Great for new pipe smokers or morning coffee! Could literally smoke all day it’s that’s mild. Cool and mellow smoke, packs easy, not too wet. Not a strong flavor detected, some sweet vanilla and left the pallet like I didn’t smoke at all. The easiest smokes I can remember having. Very pleasant if you like a mild tobacco.

Out of all of the Black Cavendish blends that I've tried, I can't decide a favorite between this and BCA. This is an excellent cavendish. Compared to BCA, the tobacco flavor shines through a little more noticeably. Like all other Stokkebye blends I've tried, the high-quality tobacco foundation is noticeable and welcome.
The vanilla is present throughout the bowl but never overpowering. It won't bite. It leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but Nording Keystones (or rice) solves that problem. Like other black cavendish blends I've tried, there is almost no nicotine to be had.
The room note is excellent and was even appreciated by a few friends that don't smoke at all.
If you're a fan of BCA or Captain Black Dark, grab an ounce or two of this!

Very nice black Cavendish. No bite whatsoever. It did come a bit damp, but that’s OK for my cellaring. The taste has a distinct vanilla taste, but it is not chemically. Very natural flavor and room note. Even has a little bit of a raisin kind of flavor. Nice, smooth aromatic.
